Location
The Castle of São Jorge stands at the summit of the São Jorge hill in the heart of Lisbon's historic Alfama district. The main entrance is located at Rua de Santa Cruz do Castelo, 1100-129 Lisboa.
The castle occupies a commanding position overlooking the city, the Tagus River, and the surrounding neighborhoods. From its hilltop vantage point, visitors can take in panoramic views stretching from the Ponte 25 de Abril bridge to the Praça do Comércio and beyond.
